In the gist of the multiswapping capabilities, you could make moves at speeds that are not possible in any normal Bejeweled 2 playthrough, and speed makes you flare in points, in which you reach a Blazing Speed that would scorch the board after a number of quick matches. Another gameplay element added is the multiswapping mechanic, which allowed the player to move more than one gem per sequence. This gem only appears once every few dozen gems are destroyed in a single sequence. It also introduced the score-breaking multiplier, which is a crucial gem in the gameplay. It also introduced a few special gems (Exclusive to the Blitz mode only), such as the Star Gem in this appearance, it uses the Lightning Gem sound effect from Bejeweled Twist rather than its own. It introduced new features that are exclusive to this mode, including Facebook Interoperability to connect to your Facebook profile and load all your stats and friends. It also brought the game's most notable change, which is Blitz: a game mode based on Bejeweled Blitz. Version 1.2 (Released on November 11th, 2009) updated the UI just a tad bit and had made a few font changes to the game modes. It also added a "More Games" section promoting the other PopCap games. Version 1.1, released on April 22nd, 2009, updated the game to be a bit more on-par with its other counterparts and finally added Endless into the game. There were two game modes initially released with the game: Classic and Action, and the soon to be added Endless. It introduced screen orientation play-styles, such as Portrait and Landscape. Version 1.0 & 1.1 (Released on July 10th, 2008 and v1.1 on April 22nd, 2009) had made several changes to the UI in order to make it touch-friendly. You could sign in Facebook and play against friends, receive star medals and show off to others who also play the game. It launched with two game modes: Classic and Action and then soon followed up by receiving a free update which includes Blitz, which was released on November 11th, 2009. Originally, Bejeweled 2for iOS was released on July 10th, 2008, which released with version 1.0. Boosts and Rare Gems are unlocked only when you are signed in Facebook. The rare gems included were Moonstone, Phoenix Prism and more. ![]() All the boosts are the same as the PC version and the Flash version, but their price were based on the Flash version. ![]() Blitz incorporates Star Gem, Boosts, Rare Gems and Coins from the original game. The iOS version of Bejeweled 2 also features a port of Bejeweled Blitz with Facebook intergration. However, when music is played from an external app, the in-game music is automatically muted. The game only features 2 songs: Beyond the Network and The Journey Begins. Unlike the original game, Endless progress can be reset with New Game appearing on the Continue game screen. The game can be played in Portrait or Landscape screen rotation. The backgrounds in this game follow a different order, and reset to the first background every time a saved game is resumed. Bejeweled 2 for iOS is a scaled down version of the original game, featuring only 3 game modes from the original game: Classic, Action and Endless.
